Wilfred Robideau

Caribou-Wilfred Robideau Jr. 89, died March 11, 2011 at Caribou. He was born in Limestone June 3, 1921 the son of the late Wilfred and Geneve (Martin) Robideau Sr. Mr. Robideau served with the US Army during WW II and was a Purple Heart recipient. He was a life member and past commander of the Lister-Knowlton Post 9389 VFW as well as a member and past commander of the Purple Heart veterans group. Wilfred was employed by the civil service at Loring Air Force Base for over twenty five years as a heavy equipment operator, and was a longtime member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Marie (Lacombe) Robideau of Caribou and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Robideau was predeceased by his first wife Joan “Jo” (Dube) Robideau. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou 9:00 am Tuesday until time of services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie officiating. Military honors will be by the officers and member s of the VFW. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
