Wendell I. Doody

Wendell I. Doody, 88, died August 2, 2026 in Van Buren with his brother by his side. He was born at home in Caribou, January 25, 1938 the son of Ivory and Lela (Langley) Doody. Wendell was raised on the family farm in Woodland and attended Woodland schools. Wendell was an avid collector of antiques and marbles.

Wendell is survived by his brother, Franklin Doody and partner Yvonne Thibeault of Van Buren, a sister-in-law, Marie Corbin, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and by siblings, Malen Doody and wife Jane, Ronald Doody and wife Viola “Frenchie”, Dana Doody and wife Ina, Linda McCrossin and husband Paul, Mike Doody and wife Connie, and Eveard Doody, sister-in-law, Gloria Hewitt Doody.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026 at 1PM in the Woodland Cemetery with Rev. Roger Jewell officiating.
