Vivian Eva Willey, 77 a great and special lady has left September 26th, 2010 at Eastern Maine Medical Center following a two-year struggle with several health challenges. She was born on April 26th, 1933 in Frenchville, Maine the oldest child of the late Ledo and Eva (Albert) Chasse. Following the early death of her father, her mother married Bernard Dumond who became her “dad”. She was raised and attended school in Frenchville and Saint Agatha. She came to live in Sinclair where she met her husband of 59 years, Philip Willey. They wed on July 28th, 1951. Together they built a remarkable life. Her four children and their spouses carry on her memory: Ron and Lou Willey, Barrett Willey and Bonnie Whitmore, Rick and Lisa Willey and Vicky Willey and Paul Kemberling. Twelve grandchildren: Jared, Rebekkah, Sarah, Amy, Rachael, Benjamin, Ethan, Philip, Eli, Elisha, Jeremiah and Grace with four great-grandchildren: Malachai, Samantha, Ephraim and Hannah join together in cherishing their grandmother and great grandmother. She was especially close to her two brothers and their families, Phillip and Tina Chasse, Edmund and Carmen Dumond as well as her sister Maxine and Armand Guerrette and her brother in law’s family, Loomis and Mary Willey. She had many loves in her life. Her first love was always her husband and family. She relished the opportunity of bringing family together for food and fun. Her next love would be her many close friends, especially Josephine St. Peter and Doreen Webb. She loved her work as a homemaker and the owner and operator of her own property management business, VEW Management. She loved her church and nurtured a profound faith. A devout Catholic, she served as a model to many with an unshakeable belief in the goodness of God and comfort of faith. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 30th at 11 a.m. Holy Rosary Church, Parish of the Precious Blood with Very Reverend Jean-Paul Labrie officiating. Friends wishing to contribute in memory of Mrs Willey may do so by supporting the Caribou Children’s Discovery Museum or the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America.
