Caribou – Elizabeth A. Violette, 76, wife of the late Franklin Violette, died August 1, 2018 at Caribou. She was born in Woodstock, N.B., Canada, September 9, 1941, the daughter of the late Bernard and Ida (Orser) Lavoie. Mrs. Violette was a cook at Teague Park School in Caribou for several years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved to cook and quilt. She loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing and was most proud of the fact that she received her moose permit in 1982 and successfully shot a 1,490 pound bull moose in Blackstone Siding that field-dressed at 1,145 pounds, a state record at that time. She is survived by her three children, Brian, Brent, and Lori Violette all of Caribou, two grandchildren Nick and Sam Violette. Mrs. Violette was predeceased by her husband in 1995, three brothers, Doug, Jack and Wayne and a grandson Chad Violette. Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the Evergreen Cemetery. To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Elizabeth A.
