Viola M. Doody

Viola M. Lajoie, “Frenchie,” age 88, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Caribou, Maine. She was born May 26, 1937 in Caribou, Maine. She was the daughter of Leo B. Lajoie and Aurora (DesJardins) Lajoie.

Survived by her daughter Cheryl and husband, Mike Wallace of Woodland. As well as her brother Joseph Lajoie and sister-in-law Barbara (Romonko) Lajoie of SC. As well as five grandchildren: Daryl Doody of Gorham, Colleen Dougherty of Limestone, Sarah Connolly of Dresden, Nicole Connolly of NH., and Chad McLaughlin of Caribou, five great grandchildren, and many special friends.

Frenchie was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Doody, son Larry Doody, grandson Tyler Doody, and great grandson Cotey Doody. She was also predeceased by her sister Cora (Lajoie) Hodges, brother Willard Michael Lajoie and sister in-law Blanche (Martin) Lajoie. As well as family-in-law: Malen, Jane, Evie, Mike, Gloria, Dana, Ina, and Connie.

There will be no formal services per Frenchie’s request. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date in Woodland.
