NEW SWEDEN & CARIBOU – Vernon McBreairty, 75, passed away July 21, 2021 in Caribou. He was born in Allagash, November 14, 1945 the son of the late Francis and Ida (Jackson) McBreairty. Vernon was a heavy equipment operator, owning his own construction business for many years. He took great pride in his work, and truly enjoyed what he did. He will also be remembered as a devoted family man who especially enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren. Vernon is survived by his wife of over 56 years, Joyce (Landeen) McBreairty of Caribou, their son, Justin McBreairty and wife Bonita of Waterville, his grandchildren, Marigan and Elijah McBreairty, step-grandchildren, Lundyn and Evan Beaulieu, and his siblings, Elaine, Bernard, Ervin, and Braedan McBreairty, and Wilmer Jackson. He was predeceased by an infant son, Vernon McBreairty Jr., and siblings, Louwine Bouchard, Cola Pelletier, Delores O’Leary, Boyd and Marvin McBreairty. Graveside services will be held Monday, July 26, 2021 at 2pm, in the New Sweden Cemetery.
