PORTAGE LAKE – Terriann DeMerchant, 56, passed away October 4, 2019 in Portland after a period of declining health. She was born March 12, 1963 in Presque Isle, the daughter of the late Clayton and Melvina (Richards) DeMerchant. She was a great cook, and enjoyed being a chef for several area eateries over the years. Terriann loved the outdoors, especially time spent with “Pops” hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling. She was a member of the ATV Club of Portage, and could often be seen riding her Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Terriann is survived by her step-sister, Jessie Woods of Portage Lake, a step-brother, Gene Sanders of San Diego, CA, her special friend Patricia Beaupre of Portage Lake, her canine companion, Dakota, several nieces and nephews In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two step-sisters, and a step-brother. Graveside services will be held at 1pm on October 26, 2019 at the Portage Municipal Cemetery.
