Teddy L. Long

February 1, 1951 — August 8, 2019

WASHBURN – Teddy L. Long,68, passed away August 8, 2019 at the Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle with his loving family by his side. He was born in Garfield Plantation, January 2, 1951 the son of the late Leonard and Marjorie (Skidgel) Long. Teddy wore many hats in his working career and was best known for his carpentry skills and mechanical abilities. He married Wilma Bubar, on July 9, 1982. Teddy loved spending time with his family, especially in the outdoors fishing and hunting. He loved tinkering on all kinds of things, whittling, and playing cards with the boys. Surviving in addition to his wife of over 37 years, Wilma, of Washburn, are three daughters and sons-in-law, Samantha and Jon Bouchard of Caribou, Stacy and Harley Carmichael of Presque Isle, and Dawn and David “Murph” Collins of Mars Hill, four brothers, George Long of Caribou, Lewis Long and wife Cecile of Madawaska, Leo Long and wife Betty, and Paul Williams and wife Lena all of Woodland, grandchildren, Liddia, Charlie, Harley Mae, Brett, Dana, Dayna, Kayla, and Hunter, great-grandchildren, Bobby, Andrew, Teddy, Hayden, and Aleah, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Richard Doak, Virginia and Philip Hebert, and Eva and Jim Henthorn all of Washburn, Donna Woodard of TX, and Dennis Madore of Mapleton, several nieces, nephews and cousins, including special cousins Archie and Peggy Skidgel, and niece, Heather Emslie and husband Jimmie, special friends, Bill and Gloria Belmain, and Carlton and Anne St. Peter, and his special canine companion, and driving buddy, Luke. Teddy was predeceased by his siblings, Victor, Herman, and Henry Long, Eva and Sadie Grizzle, and Nancy Tarbox, a sister-in-law, Gena Madore, and a brother in law, Jon Hewitt The family would like to extend a special thank you to Cancer Care as well as Hospice of Aroostook and the Aroostook House of Comfort for their fine care and compassion shown to Teddy and his family during his illness. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday September 7, 2019 from 1-4pm at the Washburn Trail Runners Snowmobile Club, Washburn.
