Caribou- Sylvia C. Ouellette 77 died March 27, 2024 at Bangor. She was born in Caribou February 9, 1947, the daughter of the late Joseph and Isabelle (Gagnon) Dufour. Mrs. Ouellette was employed by several area potato growers and was a member of the Henry B. Pratt Post #15 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She is survived by her son, Ronald LaPointe Jr. and significant other Trinity Rockhold of Hamlin, her daughter, Wanda Ouellette and husband Adam Lafland of Mapleton. One brother Vandale Dufour and three sisters, Linda Thompson, Leona Hurst and Mary Grace Blake. Her beloved grandchildren; Dustin Giggey and significant other Casey Morrow, Alicia Giggey, Sierra Putnam and husband Dan, Dylan Giggey and significant other Trinity Howard, Britney LaPointe and significant other Jesse Prescott, Victoria LaPointe and Emily LaPointe. Eleven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Jane Roman. Mrs. Ouellette was predeceased by siblings Herbert and Gilbert Dufour, Dorothy Turner, Doris Dufour and a grandson Sean LaPointe. Family graveside services will be held at a later date in the Woodland Cemetery.
