November 8, 1941 — March 30, 2019

CASWELL - Sylvia Jean Suire, 77 died Saturday, March 30, 2019, surrounded by her loving and devoted family, at the Aroostook House of Comfort, after a short illness.  She was born November 8, 1941, in Caswell, Maine, the daughter of Vinal and Gladys (O’Neal) Greenier. Sylvia graduated from the Maine School of Nursing in 1961. She was always caring for others, and spent years working at Fort Fairfield Hospital and the Cary Memorial Hospital, where she met her beloved husband, Alpha “Al” Suire and together they spent 46 happily married years together. She retired in 2007 after Administrating the Limestone Manor for 26 years. Sylvia enjoyed traveling and casino visits, but mostly; she enjoyed spending time with family. She was loving, caring and gave of herself whenever the opportunity arose.  She  was the nucleus of our family and will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, Vinal and Gladys Greenier; her husband, Alpha Suire; two sisters, Anita Sirois and Glenda Ketch; one brother-in-law, Maynard Sirois; one sister-in-law, Priscilla Greenier; one son-in-law, Robert Robinson and her precious companion, Molly.  All were cherished and dearly missed. Sylvia is survived by five loving children; her son, Steve Suire and wife, Carla, of Limestone; her daughters, Sharon Adams and husband, Dan, of Norridgewock, Sabrina Robinson and companion, Harry Coombs, of Sanford, Belinda Suire-Hair and husband, Andrew, of Berwick, and Bonnie White and husband, David, of Presque Isle; two brothers, Roger and Reginald Greenier of Caswell; one sister-in-law, June Greenier; one brother-in-law, Hardie Ketch; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephew. A special heartfelt “thank you” to the staff at the Aroostook House of Comfort.  Mom was treated with gentle care and loving attention on the journey through her end-of-life. A celebration of Sylvia’s life will be held Friday, April 5, 2019 at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, where friends may visit with the family from 1pm until time of services, which will be held at 2pm from the chapel of the funeral home.  Interment will be held at the Northern Maine Veteran’s Cemetery, Caribou.
