Stella Nelson

Caribou – Stella W. Bechard Nelson, 79, died December 31, 2021 at Fort Kent following a period of declining health.  She was born in New Jersey, April 16, 1942 the daughter of the late Dollard and Winnie (Violet) Morin.  She attended schools in Danforth and was employed at Renos Restaurant in Caribou for many years.  She was a long-time faithful member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Caribou.  She is predeceased by her first husband Claude Bechard, her second husband Byron Nelson, 4 sons, Claude, Bradford, Michael and John Bechard, a sister Ann Smith, and a brother Willie Morin.  She is survived by 1 son Wilfred Bechard and wife Nannette of Bartlett, TN., and 1 daughter Claudine Bechard of Caribou, a daughter-in-law, Blandine Bechard of Portland, 2 brothers, John Morin of Caribou and Adrian Morin and wife Kathy of Yuma, AZ., a sister-in-law, Diane Morin of Gainesville, GA, 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.  Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 3 p.m. until the time of services which will be held at 4 p.m., with Pastor Javed Siddiqui, officiating.
