Caribou – Maynard Donald St. Peter, 81, died February 28, 2019 in Bangor. following a brief illness. He was born in Caribou March 9, 1937, the son of Edmund and Ora .(LaChance) St. Peter. Maynard graduated from Caribou High School the class of 1955 and UMPI with a BS with honors in Psychology and Sociology. He was an active member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and he married Velma Madore August 6, 1960. Maynard served in the U.S. Army during Korea in Germany with the Army Corps of Engineers. Surviving in addition to his wife of more than 58 years, Velma and his mother, Ora, both of Caribou, four sons, Phillip St. Peter and wife Lisa, Jeffrey St. Peter and wife Marta all of Caribou, David St. Peter and wife Denise of Jacksonville, Fl., Malcom St. Peter and wife Naomi of Caribou, two daughters, Margo Roberts and husband Robert of Texas and Karen Ginish and husband Joseph “Norman” of Caribou, one sister Marilyn Soble of Caribou, fifteen grandchildren, Stewart, Shawn, Steven, Taylor, Brandon, Carl, Rosh, Sarah, Terry, Allen, Dezarai, Nicholas, Simon, Eli, George, sixteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Mr. St. Peter was predeceased by his father, a brother Carroll, and a sister Dina Jennings. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2019 from the Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will be at the Old Holy Rosary Cemetery. Following the services all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the Parish Center.
