Joseph C. St. Jean

CARIBOU - Joseph Chanel St. Jean, 84, passed away November 10, 2019 at Presque Isle. He was born in Grand Isle, June 3, 1935 the son of Randolph and Olivia (Daigle) St. Jean. Joseph attended school in Lille, and at the age of 16 moved to Connecticut. He served his country in the United States Army, following his military service he returned to Connecticut where he lived for many years. On August 3, 1963, he married Jeannine Masse. Joseph was employed by Colt Manufacturing in Connecticut for 32 years. He was a member of the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Joseph loved to fish, play cards, and bowl. He is survived by his wife, Jeannine, of Caribou, and three sisters, Edwina Rossignol and Olida Masse both of Connecticut, and Merilda Jambard of Florida, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Sylvia, Roland, Alde, Clarence, Conrad, Rudy, Normand and Anita. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am, Friday, November 15, 2019 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church following the service all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the parish center. Interment will be in the Northern Maine Veteran’s Cemetery, Caribou.
