Sherill Vogel

November 9, 1949 — June 15, 2022

CARIBOU – Sherill A. Vogel, 72, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 15, 2022 at the Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle. She was born in Caribou, November 9, 1949 the daughter of Andrew and Marie (Knowlton) Currie. She was a graduate of Caribou High School, and had a 26 ½ year career with Civil Service at Loring Air Force Base. Later, she worked at Burelle’s in Presque Isle. Was very devoted to the United Baptist Church, working as the secretary and treasurer for many years, providing unmeasurable support to the minister’s throughout the years. In addition, you would find her at the many activities at the church including bible study and the Living Christmas Tree. Sheri took great pride in her home and spent many hours sewing, quilting, decorating and working in her flower garden. She also enjoyed scrapbooking, trips to Bar Harbor, doll collecting and cooking – especially cookies. Sherill is survived by her husband of over 51 years, Raymond Vogel of Caribou, her brother, Ernie Currie and wife Betty of Caribou, nieces and nephews, Casey Belyea and husband Gary of Caribou, Stephanie Currie and friend Taylor Skinner of Limestone, Tammy Clark and husband Robert of Caribou, Scott Ketch and wife Michele of Auburn, Heidi Lamothe and husband Rick of Caribou, her brother-in-law, Max Ketch of Caribou, sister-in-law, Linda Bollmann and her husband John of New Jersey, many great-nieces and nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Betty Ketch. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, June 20, 2022 from 10 am until 12pm at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou. A funeral service will follow at the Caribou United Baptist Church, 74 High Street, Caribou, at 1PM. Interment will take place in the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
