Shawn M. Michaud

Shawn M. Michaud, 35, died on June 13, 2026 unexpectedly at his home after a long battle with obstructive sleep apnea and lung issues. He was born on February 17, 1991 in Presque Isle. Shawn was a graduate of Washburn High School. Most recently he worked as a Shift Lead at Dollar General. Often called a Gentle Giant, he was known for his kind heart and love of baby animals and children. Shawn enjoyed gaming; especially Pokemon, Zelda, Final Fantasy, and Dungeons & Dragons. Shawn also enjoyed family poker night, watching zombie movies and was an avid reader.

Shawn is survived by his parents, Cynthia and Randy Rowe of Washburn, and Eugene Michaud of Presque Isle, sisters, Linda Michaud, and Kim Greenier both of Presque Isle, brothers, Roger Rowe, Steve Trombley both of Washburn, and Josh Greenier of Pennsylvania, grandparents, Harry and Nancy Marston of Washburn and Cindy Rowe of Poland, aunts, Mary Ranger, Brandi Rowe and Laurie Aman and uncles, Wayne Ranger, Stacey Pingree and Thomas Michaud.

He was predeceased by his mom, Dora Trombley, a cousin, Stephanie Goyette, and an aunt Sarah Timberlake, and several grandparents.

Graveside services will be held at a later date.
