Glenna F. Searles

January 20, 1956 — July 11, 2021

Woodland – Glenna F. Searles, 65. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, step-mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend and colleague. Glenna passed away July 11, 2021, at Bangor from complications of heart surgery. She was born January 20, 1956, the daughter of Gordon “Theodore” Holmes and Barbara (Dow) Duplessie. She was a graduate of Caribou High School and went on to get her degree in nursing. Glenna was a loving, compassionate and dedicated nurse and it showed in her many years at Cary Medical Center on the OB/GYN floor and the past 11 years as the Clinical Coordinator at Caribou Rehab and Nursing. Glenna loved traveling with her “girls”, especially to Scotland to see Seante. She also enjoyed motorcycle rides, shopping and was an active member of the Alzheimer’s Association and just loved spending time with her family and friends. She was always up for volunteering, having fun and lending a shoulder to cry on, advice when needed, and lots of love. Glenna’s dedication, love and loyalty will be greatly missed by her family, friends, coworkers, and workplace. Glenna is survived by her husband Gerald Searles of Woodland, her sons Mark (Jane) Hamill of Caribou, and Aaron Hamill of Saco, step-children, Michelle (Mark) Corriveau and Kimber (Stacey) Searles all of Caribou. Glenna’s greatest joy were her three granddaughters, Angelica Hamill, Grace and Emily Gallagher, her step-grandchildren, Kegan, Kyle, Lacy, Kennedy, and Dylan. Her father Theodore, siblings Greta Wilson, Ernie and Elmer Holmes. Several nieces and nephews. Many special friends Cheryl Sue, Marilyn, Carrie and Tina, just to name a few. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, 6-8 pm, Friday, July 16, 2021 and from 10 am Saturday, until time of services, which will be held at 11 am from the Chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Rosser officiating. Interment will be at Lyndon Cemetery. www.mocklerfuneralhome.com “When tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far apart, for every time you think of me, I’m right here in your heart.” Alena H.
