Ruth Chamberlain, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished member of the Caribou community, passed away peacefully at her home on November 14, 2024, at the age of 74. She was born on August 30, 1950, in Caribou, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Bertha (LeClair) Ouellette.
Ruth lived her life with quiet strength and independence, fully embracing the simple pleasures that brought her joy. She had a deep love for tending to her flowers, creating beautiful gardens that reflected her nurturing spirit. Ruth also had a passion for cooking, and her family will forever remember the warmth of her kitchen, filled with the delicious aromas of meals prepared with love and care.
A thoughtful and caring woman, Ruth found special joy in sending cards to others—whether for birthdays, anniversaries, or just to brighten someone's day. Her personal touch and thoughtfulness were deeply appreciated by all who received them, and her kindness will be remembered by all who knew her.
A lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ruth’s faith was an integral part of her life. She found comfort, peace, and joy within her church community, and her devotion was reflected in her unwavering support of the church. Ruth was a member of the Ladies of Sainte Anne. Ruth’s gentle presence and faithfulness touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Donald Chamberlain, her parents, and by her siblings, Gerald Ouellette and Helen Thibodeau. Now, Ruth is reunited with her beloved husband, Donald just days before what would have been their 57th wedding anniversary.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Kull and her husband Alan of Athens, GA; her brother, Harold Ouellette and his partner Vicki Martin of Caribou; her two cherished grandchildren, Crystal Kull of Nashville, TN, and Alan Kull II of Athens, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
Ruth’s love, faith, and independent spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in her honor at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with interment will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
