Roger Landry

January 18, 1944 — February 19, 2023

WOODLAND – Roger Landry, 79, died February 19, 2023 at Cary Medical Center after several years battling cancer. He was born in Fort Kent, January 18, 1944 the son of Albert and Yvonne (Corriveau) Landry. He was a graduate of Fort Kent High School, and served in the United States Army during Vietnam. On August 3, 1963 he married Greta Walker – and together they shared many wonderful years of marriage before her death in 2011. Roger was employed at Hogan Tire for decades, where he formed many friendships with both coworkers and customers. Those who met him, respected him, he made a lasting impression on those he met. His wife often said that God “broke the mold” when he made him. He will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather who took pride in his family – teaching his daughter and granddaughters about unconditional love and a strong work ethic. The minds of his family are at ease knowing that he is now reunited at God’s gate with his wife, Greta, where they are watching over the family with no more pain or suffering.

He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly (Landry) Spencer and her husband Chris of Presque Isle, beloved granddaughters, Kasey Landry of Woodland and Emily Dee Clayton of Caribou, two brothers, Roland and Norman Landry, and four sisters, Bertha Morin, Rilda Foreman, Kathleen Charette, and Juliette Pelletier, as well as many, many, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 12PM until time of services which will be held at 2PM from the chapel of the funeral home. A private family interment will take place in the spring at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Kent. www.mocklerfuneralhome.com
