Robert D. Nadeau

Robert David Nadeau, 82 died April 9, 2026 at the Caribou Health Center following a long illness. He was born in Caribou, April 11, 1943 the ninth of twelve children born to the late Joseph and Agatha (Michaud) Nadeau. Mr. Nadeau was a lifelong member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where he was an eucharistic minister for several years and taught Confirmation and CCD classes in his younger years. Robert was a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus where he was past Grand-Knight of the Sacred Heart Knights of Columbus, and was currently a member of the Fred V. Brescia Council 1870 Knights of Columbus.

Robert married Irene Longley in 1962, and she predeceased him in 1993. He later married Jacqueline Bubar in 1995, who predeceased him in 2020. Bob was the safety manager for several area potato processing companies. He is survived by his children, Tony Nadeau and wife Gail, and Wendy Bossie and husband Reggie all of Caribou, siblings, Nancy Dube of Connor, Norman Nadeau of CT, Leatrice Levesque of CT, and Arthur Nadeau and wife Julie of Florida, his beloved grandchildren, Joshua (Kelsey) Nadeau, Erica Nadeau, Missy (Nate Berube) Nadeau, Rieley (Blake Staples) Bossie, five great-grandchildren, Nick, Addy, Jemma, Noah, and Hannah Nadeau, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Nadeau was predeceased by a son, Rodney in 1978, a great-granddaughter, Camilla Nadeau in 2022, and siblings, Albert, Martha, Edwina, Edward, Richard, Elmer, and Charlene.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11AM Friday, April 17, 2026 at the Parish of the Precious Blood Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Fr. David Raymond officiating. Following the service all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the parish hall. Interment will be at a later date in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
