Caribou – Robert R. Kelley, 91, died November 4, 2020 at Caribou, following a long illness. He was born in Caribou, July 23, 1929 the son of the late Ralph and Hazel (Sisson) Kelley. He married Helen LaPointe, and served with the US Army during Korea. Mr. Kelley was a self-employed farmer and potato grower, farming on the family farm on the Fort Fairfield Road for many years. Surviving in addition to his wife, Helen of over 60 years of Caribou, are one son, Richard Schwigen of Lowell, MA, three daughters, Katherine Schwigen and husband Joseph McLaughlin of Orrington, Carrie Lee and husband Daniel of Presque Isle, Amy Kelley of Brewer, seven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Mr. Kelley was predeceased by his sister, Colleen “Cookie” Nichols, a brother, Harvey Kelley, and two grandchildren, Joshua Munn, and Sean Lee. Private graveside services will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery, Caribou. Arrangements by Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.  Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Mr Kelley may do so through the Maine Veterans Home Caribou memorial fund.
