WASHBURN - Robert Dale Ewing, 57, died unexpectedly July 7, 2017 at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born in Caribou March 17, 1960 the son of Donald and Glenna (Haines) Ewing. Robert was a 1978 graduate of Washburn High School, attended the University of Maine at Presque Isle and received his degree from Northern Maine Technical College. He was employed as a broadcast engineer for WAGM-TV for a number of years. Surviving in addition to his mother, Glenna of Washburn, are his brother Ronald of Washburn, one sister, Linda Ewing and husband Tim Forsman of Fairfield. His partner of many years, Brenda Kuykendall of Washburn and her grandchildren, Brian and Derek Cruz. Two nephews, Jonathan and Devin Forsman. Mr. Ewing was predeceased by his father and two brothers, Ervin and Harry. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Thursday, July 13, 2017 from the Lidstone Methodist Church with Pastor Ellen Cleaves, officiating. Interment will be in the Riverside Extension Cemetery. Following the services, all are invited to visit with the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments in the church dining hall.
