Robert \"Buddy\" Farley

March 3, 1994 — September 13, 2017

Woodland – Robert ”Bobby” Lewis Farley -Bobby joined his brother Andy in heaven following a lifelong illness, on September 13, 2017. He was born in Caribou March 3, 1994 the son of Albert and Nicole (Hersey) Farley. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that loved him dearly. Bobby’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him, understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His contagious smile and loving hugs brought joy to everyone around him. Although Bobby’s illness made his life very difficult, he possessed enormous strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome his physical limitations. With his courage he led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. He enjoyed socializing with many; whether it was winking, blowing kisses or giving hugs. He also liked to watch his favorite TV shows: American Loggers, Scooby Doo, Dukes of Hazards, or any show about trucks. Some of Bobby’s friends even included local celebrities from these shows such as the Pelletier family from American Loggers and The General Lee from Dukes of Hazard. He loved watching the maintenance crew at the Caribou Rehab and Nursing Center plow snow and mow the lawns, and interacting with the many other staff members there. He spent summers at Cross Lake with his family, where he loved to play in the sand box, fishing, sitting by the campfire, and boat rides. He, along with his family also enjoyed camping trips to Bar Harbor and New Hampshire. They also were able to travel to Disney World through the Make a Wish Foundation creating lifelong memories for all. With Bobby’s passing we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss him every day, especially hissmile. He will forever remain in our hearts. Through his teachings about life, we were able to create wonderful memories and our greatest joy in life has been being his parents. We are so thankful for the support of family, friends, and coworkers. We feel Bobby’s life was extended because of his loving staff at the Caribou Rehab and Nursing Center, Dr. Carl Flynn, staff at Caribou Learning Center, Woodland School and bus drivers Alice and John. There is a special place in our hearts for Verna “Meme”, Carrie, Glenna, Jasmine, Kathy, Marilyn “Mere”, Mary, Nick, Lori, and Loretta “Rett” whom he loved dearly .There are many others, too numerous to mention, who provided Bobby with love and gave him dignity in his life and also in his death. Bobby is survived by his loving parents, Albert and Nicole Farley of Woodland; Grandparents Robert and Nancy Hersey of Woodland, Albert Farley Sr. of Woodland, Great Grandparent Mabel Wilcox; Aunts and Uncles Todd and Sherri Parker, Lance and Lori Albair, Mark and Jessica Farley.
