Van Buren – Renald J. “ Pit” Clavette, 61, passed away May 5, 2018 in Caribou. He was born July 3, 1956 in Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada the son of Alphonse and Cecile (Thibeault) Clavette. Pit was a self-employed carpenter in the Van Buren area for many years and was a member of St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Surviving in addition to his wife Rita (Michaud) Clavette of Van Buren, are his daughter Jamie Thibodeau and her partner Aaron Bragg of Washburn, Five sisters and brothers-in-law Jeanine and Leo Paul Soucy, Alvine and Jean Paul Gagnon, Viola and Reni Roy, all of Green River, New Brunswick, Cecila and Fernand Cyr of Gardner, Ma.,and Diane and Frank Wright of St. Leonard N.B. two brothers and a sister-in-law, Roger and Jeanine Clavette, and Origine Clavette and his companion Dianne Bergeron all of St. Leonard, New Brunswick, his special friends Mike and Stephanie Bressett, many nieces and nephews. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 10:00am, Saturday May 12, 2018 from St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church.
