Raymond A. Lewis, 79, passed away in Bangor on April 10, 2026. He was born in Portland on May 10, 1946, son of the late Carlton and Abbie Elizabeth (Downs) Lewis. Raymond graduated from Bridgeton High School and later enlisted in the United States Army, honorably serving his country in Vietnam. Known as hard worker, he worked for many years as the Store Manager of Maine Paint in Portland as well as owning his own cleaning company. Raymond was known for his love of cars, especially Chevrolet Camaros, friends and family knew him as “Camaro Man”. He was a proud owner of many Camaros throughout his lifetime and was often seen washing, waxing and maintaining his cars. Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Vicki (Hall) Lewis, two children, Gregory Lewis of Caribou and Rae Leigh Lewis of Waterville. A spring interment with military honors will be held at 12 noon on May 13, 2026 at The Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery in Caribou. Following the service, a time of continued fellowship and refreshments will be held at the VFW Post 9389 in Caribou.
