STOCKHOLM – Gilman Raymond, 77, passed away March 5, 2019 at his Stockholm residence. He was born in Stockholm, August 31, 1941 the son of Warren and Helena (Viel) Raymond. On June 3, 1965 he married Marie Jeanne Dionne, and together they shared 53 years of marriage. Gilman worked for many years as a supervisor at Potato Service and drove bus for the Stockholm Elementary School. In addition to his wife, Marie Jeanne Raymond of Stockholm, he is survived by a son, Jason Raymond of Stockholm, daughters and their partners, Hope and Shawn Sandstrom of New Sweden, Tracy Raymond and John Morrill of Caribou, Christine Raymond and Russell Chamberland of Stockholm, grandchildren, Haley Plourde, Cole Plourde, Desarae Chamberland, Devon Chamberland, and Jordan Sandstrom, brothers, Gary and wife Mary Raymond, and Steve Raymond, both of Caribou, sisters, Jean and husband Philip Theriault, Barbara and husband Leonide Michaud, and Cindy Johnston all of Caribou, and a sister-in-law, Annette Raymond of Stockholm. In addition to his parents, Gilman was predeceased by three siblings and a brother-in-law, Daryl and David Raymond, and Jackie and Buddy Lagasse. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 6 to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Parish of the Precious Blood St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Stockholm. The family would like to say thank you to all the people that provided us with love and support, allowing us to respect his wishes and remain in his home surrounded by his family during his illness. Thank you to Dr. Dumont, Dr. O’Neal, Dr. Djuanda, Dr. Boma, and the Visiting Nurses of Aroostook for providing exceptional care. We extend a special thank you to all of his sisters and brothers whose frequent calls and visits brightened his days.
