Jenny Rafford

October 18, 1947 — December 1, 2018

CARIBOU – On December 1, 2018 our Lord received into his warm and loving arms, our very special angel, Jenny M. (Everett) Rafford, 71, who our Lord had blessed us with here on Earth. She was born October 18, 1947 in Caribou, the daughter of the late Thomas M. and Olive L. Everett. Jenny and her husband Ronald P. Rafford were united in marriage on July 18, 1964 in Caribou and shared 54 wonderful years together. She attended the Caribou schools. Jenny was employed at the Caribou Inn and Convention Center for over 18 years. She had previously worked at the Red Brick Motel and the Caribou Hotel. Jenny was always the hardest worker an employer could ever hope for. She was a member of the Caribou VFW and always looked forward to marching with them in Caribou’s annual parade. Jenny’s greatest joy and love was her family. She was always there for you when you needed a shoulder to cry on or when you just needed a good laugh. She became a true friend to people that she would meet for the first time because to her, no one was a stranger. She is survived by her loving husband, Ronnie, of Caribou; her brother Bud (George) and Carol Everett, her sister, Sue (Alice) Smart, her son, Wallace L. Everett and her daughter, Sue L. and Erik Hanson, all of Caribou; her two granddaughters, Mindy and Frank Lagasse of New Sweden, and Jenny and James Morrow of Presque Isle. Her 3 great grandsons, Braden and Cullen Lagasse, Zayn Pelletier, and a special angel due in January, 2 sisters-in-law and 2 brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Jenny was predeceased by her father and mother, Thomas and Olive Everett, her daughter Melissa Rafford, her son, Ronald Lee Rafford, her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Arthur Fortin and her brother-in-law, Kenneth Smart. Friends may visit with the family December 8, 2018 at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou from 1pm until time of services which will be held at 2pm from the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Troy Heald, officiating. Interment will be in the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery in the spring. Those who wish to contribute in memory of Jenny may do so through the animal shelter of your choice.
