Joyce R. Prestwood

WOODLAND – Joyce R. Prestwood, 80, wife of the late Robert H. Prestwood, went to be with her Lord, August 7, 2019 at Presque Isle. She was born in Caribou, September 26, 1938 the daughter of the late Henry and Lula (Cheviot) Stubbs. Mrs. Prestwood attended the Caribou Schools, and was employed at Day’s Jewelry store as well as Freme’s Jewelry for many years. She was loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Joyce was an active, longtime member of the Perham Baptist Church. Mrs. Prestwood is survived by her son, Robert Prestwood and wife Margaret of Easton, her daughters, Cynthia Privette, of Washburn, and Kathy Crosier and husband Monte, of Graham, NC, one brother, Darrell Stubbs of Woodland, one sister, Sharon Pete of Woodland, nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert in 2018, and a son-in-law, David Privette. Graveside services will be held 1pm Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou with Rev. David Goupille officiating. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Mrs. Prestwood, may do so through the Perham Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
