Janet Pignatiello

WADE – Janet Lee (Gagnon) Pignatiello, 52, passed away April 16, 2019, at the Aroostook House of Comfort following a 6 month battle with cancer. Janet was born in Caribou, June 28, 1966, the daughter of the late Dennis “Junior” and Jeannette (Corbin) Gagnon. Janet was a 1984 graduate of Caribou High School, and following graduation she went on to earn a degree at Pierre’s School of Beauty. Janet married the love of her life, Joseph Pignatiello on August 30, 1986, together they were blessed with two sons, Anthony Pignatiello and Nicholas Pignatiello and significant other, Ashley Michaud, and their son Alex Pignatiello, all of Washburn. Janet had one grandchild who she waited years for, Alex, and she loved him more than life itself. If there is one gift that we can all give Janet, it is to keep her memory alive by talking to Alex all the time about how much she loved him. In addition to her parents, Janet was predeceased by two brothers, Dale Gagnon Sr. and Frank Gagnon Jr. Surviving in addition to her husband, their sons, and grandson, Janet is survived by her three sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Darrell Gagnon of Plant City, FL, Cindy and Russell Wilcox of Caribou, Denise and Pat McCormick of Woodland, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with Janet’s family Friday, April 19, 2019 from 3pm to 6pm at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou. Those who wish to contribute in memory of Janet may do so through the Aroostook House of Comfort, PO Box 867, Presque Isle, ME 04769.
