Phyliss Irene Brown, 81, died November 22, 2022 at Bangor following a period of declining health. She was born in Providence, Rhode Island, August 11, 1941 the daughter of Herbert Jr. and Virginia (Parkinson) Adams. Phyliss was a homemaker, raising 7 children together with her husband, while also being the secretary for his businesses: Freddie R. Brown and Sons Construction and Freddie Brown and Sons Trucking. Phyliss was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Woodland. She enjoyed her church and related activities. She especially enjoyed time spent with family, and reading books.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Freddie R. Brown in 2013, a son, Miles Brown, a daughter-in-law, Cindy Lou Brown, a son-in-law, Philip L. Foss, siblings, Virginia Hildebrant, Marshal Adams, Dale Adams, and Herbert M. Adams III. Phyliss is survived by sons, Kenneth L. Brown and wife Linda of TN, Preston E. Brown and significant other Tracy, Steven F. Brown and wife Judy, Freddie R. Brown and wife Harriet all of Woodland, daughters, Wendy Jo St. Pierre and husband Steven, and Sheila Foss both of Perham, and a daughter-in-law, Suzanne (Rioux) Brown of Woodland, two brothers, Lonnie Adams and wife Diane of Caribou, and Paul Adams and wife Karen of FL. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Herbert Brown, Elisha Brown, Christopher Brown, Eric Brown, Ashlee Brown, Miles Brown Jr., Becky Brown, Preston Brown Jr., Barbara Lovely and Karen Landry, many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and 2 special aunts, Violet Tierney and Roberta Paquin.

Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, from 2PM until 4PM. Funeral services will be held at Woodland First Baptist Church on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 3PM with Pastor Troy Heald officiating. Spring interment will be held at Woodland Cemetery.
