Philip E. Knowlton

WOODLAND – Philip E. Knowlton, 76, died June 30, 2022 at the Aroostook House of Comfort following an illness. He was born in Caribou, July 24, 1945 the son of Lester and Verna (McLaughlin) Knowlton. Philip served in the United States Army; doing two tours in Vietnam and receiving several military commendations including the Purple Heart. He worked for many years at Loring Air Force Base after his military service. There was never a stranger to Philip, he made friends with everyone he met. He enjoyed travelling and antiquing. Most of all he loved to make memories with his friends and family, he will be greatly missed by all. Philip is survived by his daughters, Pamela O’Dell of Connecticut and Elaine Knowlton Bruckerhoff of Kansas, his sister, Pauline Brown of Woodland, a brother, Colby Goodridge of Ohio, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Darryl Goodridge, and a close brother-in-law, Willis Brown. Graveside services with military honors will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 10AM at the Woodland Cemetery.
