PRESQUE ISLE – Michael P. Peters, 57, died September 16, 2019 at Presque Isle following a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Caribou, February 21, 1962 the son of the late Theodore and Edna (Clevette) Peters. He was a graduate of Caribou High School, and earned his Associates Degree in Autobody from Northern Maine Community College. Michael married Kara Cyr December 19, 2000. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Presque Isle. Michael was employed as a sous chef for several area restaurants, including Keddy’s Motor Inn, Riverdriver’s Restaurant, and more recently Northern Maine Community College. Surviving in addition to his wife, Kara, is his daughter, Ashlee Peters both of Presque Isle, his grandson, Aiden MacFarline, two brothers, David Peters and wife Edie, and Danny Peters and wife Betty all of Florida, one sister, Judy Tidd and husband Nilson of Washington, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and a sister Cindy Hart. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2pm Friday, September 20, 2019 from the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, North Caribou.
