Peter Olson, Sr.

Peter Olson, Sr., 79, passed away May 29, 2026 at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

He was born January 5, 1947 in Fort Fairfield, the son of Philip and Thelma (Foss) Olson.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Parks Olson, a daughter Amy Olson Durette and husband Richard, and son PJ Olson. He is also survived by his two granddaughters, Liza Durette Keaton and husband Jared, and Jazmyn Olson and partner Blake Bailey, two great grandchildren Jaxon Keaton and Addysin Keaton, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gail Parks Anderson and husband Robert, Philip Parks and wife Florence, Leah Parks McDougal and husband George, and Rhonda Parks Rose.

He was predeceased by a sister, Carol Ann Adams.

He was so greatly loved and will be so deeply missed by all his family and friends. He endured many medical challenges, while never complaining and always showing strength and endurance and hope.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
