CARIBOU and BANGOR – Peter F. Michaud, 72, died August 9, 2022 in Bangor after a period of declining health. He was born in Caribou, November 16, 1949 the son of the late Eugene and F. Irene (Burgess) Michaud. On March 7, 1970 he married Carolyn Wasson. He was a 1968 graduate of Caribou High School, and joined the United States Navy in 1969. Peter was past commander of the American Legion Post 15 in Caribou. He worked in construction, as a locksmith, a boiler operator, and was the building superintendent at Caribou Courthouse, before moving to Bangor where he worked for the Bangor School Department in maintenance. He enjoyed camping, fishing and family outings until his health declined and he was no longer able to do the things he enjoyed. Peter was always devoted to his family and his Catholic faith.

Peter is survived by his loving wife of over 52 years, his daughter, Tamara Osgood and her husband Robert, a son-in-law Anthony Robles, two special grandsons, Keith and Tyler Robles, a step-granddaughter, Victoria Jones and her husband Lucas, two step-great-grandsons, Keagan and Kempson, and his siblings, Judy, Patrick and Patricia.

He was predeceased by daughters, Michelle Michaud and Pamela (Michaud) Robles, as well as 4 of his siblings, Anita, Violet, Barbara, and Albert.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, August 12, 2022 at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, from 10AM until time of services which will be held at 12PM from the chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Simon Assogba, officiating.
