CARIBOU – Margaret “Peg” Winston, 82, died May 11, 2023 in Biddeford with family by her side after a brief illness. She was born in Caribou, August 26, 1940 the daughter of Stephen and Eleanor (Powers) Patton. Peg graduated from Caribou High School, and worked for many years as a Patient Coordinator at Cary Medical Center before going into business with her husband, Don. Together they started Aroostook Real Estate, where they worked to match area families with the perfect properties for their needs. Peg formed lasting friendships through her work and will be remembered by many. She was a longtime communicant of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
She is survived by her children, R. Scott Dombroski and wife Christina of Wallingford, CT, James Dombroski of Hill, NH, and Kris Ryan of Wallingford, CT, two stepchildren, Donald Winston of Washington, DC, and Danny Winston of Maine, siblings, Sherrie Davidson, and husband Wes of Caribou, Bruce Patton and wife Dana of Trenton, Illinois and Steve Patton of Caribou, nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter. Peg was predeceased by her husband, Donald Winston, her parents Eleanor and Stephen Patton, and by a son Barry Joseph Dombroski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. All are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments following the service. Private family interment will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery, Caribou.
