Paul G. Thompson, 77, died June 26, 2025 in Bangor. He was born in Limestone, March 4, 1948 the son of the late Preston and Ruth (Harvey) Thompson. Paul was a graduate of Limestone High School and was employed as a state and federal food inspector. Paul was member of the Limestone United Methodist Church for many years, past-president of the Sno-Drifters Snowmobile Club, was a coach for Babe Ruth Baseball and Little League. He enjoyed woodworking and carpentry in his free time.
Paul is survived by his wife of 51 years, Pamela (Hershberger) Thompson of Caribou, their sons, Christopher Thompson and wife Hope of Louisville, KY, and Patrick Thompson and wife Brooke of Bowdoinham, siblings, Diane Thompson Beaulieu Wood of Suwanee, GA, Claudia Thompson Carvell and husband Steve Carvell of Lakeville, NB, CA, and Robert Thompson and wife Norma Thompson of Caribou, ten grandchildren, Ashlynn Gillespie, Courtney Kitchen, Evan Thompson, Olivia Thompson, Quinn Thompson, Charlie Thompson, Maci Thompson, Tula Thompson, Everlee Thompson, and Loren Thompson, 1 great-grandchild, Clover Thompson, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, with Pastor Ellen Cleaves officiating. Following the services a time of continued fellowship and refreshments will be held.
