Patty Elizabeth Searles, 53, passed away peacefully June 6, 2026 at Cary Medical Center following a period of declining health. She was born in Caribou, May 18, 1973, and spent her life radiating joy to all who crossed her path. Patty’s life was a testament of faith and love, and she had a spirit that inspired everyone around her. She was a faithful member of the Caribou United Baptist Church where you would often see her as the morning greeter. She had a personality larger than life and wherever Patty went, laughter was sure to follow. Patty was a ray of sunshine, and she had a unique way of making every person feel important. Patty was a proud graduate of the class of 1993 from the Opportunity Training Center in Presque Isle, while also being the only girl in her class. From there, she attended the Adult Multiple Alternative Center for many years, as well as joining the Northern Lighthouse Day Program until she could no longer attend. She was an active yearly participant of the Special Olympics, which was a highlight of her year. She also attended the Pine Tree Camp for a week each summer. She was highly known for her unforgettable Elvis impersonations and was just a natural born entertainer.

She is survived by her loving mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Walker, her cherished sisters, Pamela Searles, Heather Maynard and beloved brother-in-law, Spencer Maynard. She was also the proud aunt to her two nieces, Mallory and Marigan Maynard, whom she loved dearly. Patty is also survived by her special brothers, Ricky (Lynn), Terry and Larry (Julie) Searles, her very special friend, Annette “Pokey” Bartlett, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she adored. Patty was predeceased by her father, Albert Searles, her step-father, Reynold Walker, paternal grandparents, Stilman and Kathleen Searles, maternal grandparents, John (Wilford) and Barbara Lennon, and very special aunt, Sandra Dixon, cousin, Sabrina Lunn, and fur-nephew, Lionel.
