Loretta E Patterson 75, of Connor Maine, passed away unexpectedly March 3, at AR Gould Hospital in Presque Maine, after a two year battle with lung cancer which spread to her brain. She was surrounded by her family when she passed peacefully.
Loretta was born on August 30, 1943, in Caribou to Basil and Murla Patterson of Woodland. She married Elmer Gunnerson December 5, 1959 and they had four children together.
Loretta liked being with family and friends, she enjoyed holiday celebrations and tea parties. She recently moved back to Maine after being away for 30 years to be by her daughters.
Loretta is survived by her 3 daughters, Kim Sweeney and her husband Gary of Stockholm, Karen Peterson and her husband Lenny of Westmanland, and daughter Kelly Landeen and husband Greg of Connor, 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, her 2 sisters Judy Forsman of Southern Maine, Bonnie Stevens and her husband Mike of Florida and 2 brothers William (Billy) Patterson and wife Nancy of Fort Fairfield, and Jamey Patterson of Florida, along with several nieces, nephews and many friends. Loretta was preceded by her parents Basil and Murla Patterson, and son Kirk Gunnerson.
Per her request, there will be no funeral. A celebration of life gathering will be held at Little Madawaska Lake later this summer, for family and friends to remember her.
