CARIBOU – William Ossenfort, Sr., 71 passed away December 29, 2018 at Caribou. He was born in Flushing, NY, August 2, 1947, the son of William and Florence (Kinney) Ossenfort. He was employed as an aircraft mechanic with the United States Air Force for over 20 years, retiring as a Senior Master Sargent. On February 10, 1990 he married Tonya Bell. He enjoyed volunteering at the Loring Military Heritage Center, where he served as president for 8 years. Bill is survived by his wife, Tonya, of Caribou, three sons, William “BJ” Ossenfort, Jr. of Dover-Foxcroft, Christopher Silsbee of Pownal, and Michael Silsbee of Caribou, two daughters, Dawn DePriest of Spokane, WA, and Tina Harris of Caribou, 7 grandchildren, Joshua and Samantha Ossenfort, Kayla Bosse, Mara Harris, Evan, Estelle, and Amelia Silsbee. Graveside services with military honors will be held in the spring at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou.
