CARIBOU – Orilla Patricia Thibodeau, 92, went home to be with her Lord on October 21, 2023 at Caribou. She was born in Caribou, October 1, 1931 the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Jane (Bouchard) Guerrette. Orilla married Leo “Ted” Thibodeau on November 25, 1947 and was employed as the office manager of Mahoney’s Real Estate for 25 Years. She was a lifelong faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne, serving as secretary for over 20 years. She also served on the parish council, and was a lector. Orilla was also a member and past president of Henry B. Pratt Post 15 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by 4 sons Danny Thibodeau and wife Irene of Titusville, FL, Michael Thibodeau and wife Christi of Thomasville, NC, Steve Thibodeau and wife Diana of Long Lake, and Bruce Thibodeau of Toronto, Canada, three daughters, Sandra LaPointe and fiancé Dan Dennett of Castle Hill, Bonnie Turck and husband Harold, Tammy Belanger and husband Mike all of Caribou, 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Orilla was predeceased by her husband in 2012, brothers, Edmund, Louis, Leon, Albert, Joel, Lionel, and Lawrence Guerrette, sisters, Alma Pelkey, Cecile Theriault, Minnie Guerrette, and Toni Michaud, two grandchildren, Tina Thibodeau and Kevin Laidacker, one great-granddaughter, Brittany Damboise. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Bob Sanfacon, Susan Boyd, and Kim and Rick Martin who all watched over her and helped her in so many ways. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, from 6-8PM Wednesday, October 25, 2023. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 11AM from the Parish of the Precious Blood Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
