Naida V. Parks

October 22, 1922 — October 10, 2022

CARIBOU – Naida V. Parks, 99, passed into heaven on October 10, 2022. She was born in Washburn, October 22, 1922, the daughter of Joel and Eunice (Fuller) Valley. She graduated from Washburn High School in 1940, and graduated from Zion Bible College in East Providence, Rhode Island in 1944. It was at Zion that she met her future husband, Vaughn S. Parks, and they were married on June 13, 1946. They pastored several Pentecostal Churches in Maine, Massachusetts, and New York.

Naida was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Vaughn Parks, son, Daryl Wallace Parks, her parents, Joel and Eunice (Fuller) Valley, brothers, Edwin, Chester, and Dwight, sisters, Almeda Elliott, Edna Hershey, and Dorothy Sperrey.

She is survived by her children who will miss her sweet loving presence; Gayla Drake, André Clark, Daylan Parks, Daniel Parks, Carolyn Nadeau, Thomas Parks. She will also be missed by her 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, her remaining sister-in-law, Lana Wilcox (Boyd), remaining brothers-in-law, Russell Fowler (Glenna) and Gerald Sullivan (Linda). Naida also had many nieces and nephews who love her and are proud to call her their Aunt Naida.

The family would like to thank Aroostook Home Health Agency; Androscoggin Home Healthcare and Hospice; Care and Comfort; Seniors Plus; and the Aroostook House of Comfort for their compassionate, loving, caring and professional care of our mother.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the Caribou Assembly of God Church, 116 Sweden Street, Caribou, from 11:00AM until time of services which will be held at 12:00PM with Pastor Troy Campbell and Pastor Michael Hood officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, South Main Street, Caribou.
