CARIBOU - Martin L. McDougal, 62, died August 18, 2022 at the Aroostook House of Comfort after a period declining health. He was born in Caribou, October 30, 1959 the son of Leo Sr. and Louise (Wilcox) McDougal. Martin graduated from Caribou High School with the class of 1979, and was employed by Lane Construction for many years. On August 30, 1980 he married Sharon Fortin, and together they shared over 40 years of marriage.

Martin is survived by his wife, Sharon McDougal of Caribou, his mother, Louise McDougal of Caribou, two children, Andrea Flannery and husband Jeremy, and Philip McDougal all of Caribou, his two grandchildren which were his pride and joy, Thomas Ervin Flannery III and Cassidy Doll Flannery both of Caribou. He is also survived by four siblings, Leo McDougal Jr. and wife Robin of Woodland, George McDougal and wife Leah, Patty Adams and husband Kevin, and Gerald McDougal, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Natalie and Philip Deveau of Caribou and his brother-in-law Philip R Deveau and his wife Martine of Westbrook, and 2 sisters-in-law Lisa Riley and husband Scott of Weatherford TX, and Julia Engstrom of Caribou. Several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Leo McDougal Sr.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, from 4PM until time of services which will be held at 6PM at the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. George McLaughlin officiating.
