Max Ketch

CARIBOU – Max “Mickey” Ketch, 88, died June 25, 2022 at Caribou surrounded by family. He was born in Caribou, September 11, 1933 the son of the late George and Eldena (Nylander) Ketch. Mickey was a 1951 Graduate of Caribou High School, and proudly served in the United States Army. He worked for many years at Loring Air Force Base as a heavy equipment mechanic and as a welder, retiring as the head of welding for Loring. Mickey was an outdoorsman who liked hunting, fishing and walking in the woods. He was a member of Sportsman, Inc and looked forward to the hunter’s breakfasts each year. Max was also a talented woodworker who enjoyed sharing the crafts he made together with his wife Betty. His greatest joy was his family – he treasured the time they spent together at barbeques and other family events.  Mickey is survived by his children, Tammy Clark and husband Robert of Caribou, Scott Ketch and wife Michele of Auburn, and Heidi LaMothe and husband Rick of Caribou, his grandchildren, Melinda Godin and husband Brad, Marie Roy and husband Lucas, Jeremy Ketch, Alexis Ketch, Lauren Corkum, Dylan LaMothe, and Heather LaMothe and fiancé Noah Cousins, great-grandchildren, Chase Godin, Alex and Bryson Roy, sisters-in-law, Mary and Brenda Ketch, a brother-in-law, Ernie Currie and wife Betty, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife and the mother of his children, Elizabeth “Betty” (Currie) Ketch in 1998, and by a wife Diane Walker Ketch in 2019, his siblings, Lionel Ketch, G. Arnold Ketch, Darrell Ketch, Arlene Monteith, Herbert Ketch, Lantie Kinney, Alton Ketch, and Kermit Ketch, many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.  Friends may visit with the family at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 11AM until time of services which will be held at 1PM. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Caribou.
