March 7, 1948 — March 8, 2020

Marlene M. Lint, 72, died peacefully at Presque Isle Nursing and Rehab where she was so very well loved and cared for on March 8, 2020 after a long illness. She was surrounded by many friends and family. Marlene was born March 7, 1948 in Colby Siding, Woodland. Marlene grew up in Woodland and then lived in Caribou for most of her life until she resided in Presque Isle. She was a devoted wife and mother. She had a great love of cooking and baking and having many cookouts at her home with family and friends.  She really enjoyed fishing. Marlene was always a faithful friend to her neighbors in their time of need. She was a truly beautiful woman. She was predeceased by her husband Merrill Lint and her parents Eldon V. Searles Sr. and Ethel R. (Chase) Searles. She leaves behind her four daughters Peggy Theriault and her husband Randy of Limestone, Lynn Mummert and her husband Edward of Caribou, Diana Ouellette and her fiancé Brian of Caribou, Lori Ouellette and her friend Chester of Caribou. She also leaves behind her 6 beloved grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren whom she loved deeply. Marlene is survived by her siblings Eldina Lockwood of Bridgeport, CT, Cynthia Toubman and her husband Brian of Wilton, CT, Donella Lyden and her husband Timothy of Spring Valley, WI, Eldon Searles II and his fiancé Anne of Limestone. Several nieces and nephews.  Interment will be at Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou, with a memorial being held in the Spring.  Those who wish to make a donation in memory of Marlene may do so through the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, Maine 04736.
