Marilyn Louise Wilcox, 96, Our mother, passed away on December 24, 2025, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born in Caribou May 15, 1929, to Dell and Louise (Wood) Jacobs.
Mom lived and worked on the family farm until it was no longer being farmed, at which time she began a career with Harrison Farms as the office coordinator, where she worked until her retirement.
She dedicated her life to raising her eight children—six boys and two girls—as a single parent from a young age. We have so many wonderful memories of the life she provided for each of us. She taught us the value of hard work, a commitment to quality, and the importance of never giving up. In 1972, the same year one of her sons graduated from high school, Mom went back to school herself to obtain her GED.
On October 24, 1974, Mom married Don Wilcox, and we became an even larger, blended family.
Once retired, Mom traveled extensively with her sister, Charlotte, to attend family weddings and special events across the United States. When she wasn’t traveling, she could be found visiting with her very special friends. They spent many happy hours together playing Skip-Bo.
She is survived by
Sons: Dennis (Norma) Webber of Maryland; Larry Webber of North Carolina; Reggie (Jeanne) Webber of Texas; Randy Webber of Maryland; Jeff Webber of Maryland; Alden Wilcox of Virginia; and Dwight (Gail) Wilcox of Perham.
Daughters: Kathy (Harold) Dubay of Caribou; Lori (Paul) Knox of California; and Louise McDougal of Caribou.
Special: Robert (Joyce) Wark of Michigan. Robert was raised alongside Mom and her siblings on the family farm and remained a cherished member of the family throughout her life.
She is also survived by a legacy of 41 grandchildren, 84 great-grandchildren, and 46 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Wilcox was predeceased by her parents, Dell and Louise Jacobs; her first husband, Reginald F. Webber, Sr.; and her second husband, George Don Wilcox.
She was also predeceased by her children and children-in-law: George and Zelda Wilcox, Erwin and Donna Wilcox, Galen and Annette Wilcox, Michael Webber, Gail Wilcox, Paula Webber, and Leo McDougal, Sr.
