Marie Ann Cyr, 79, died unexpectedly January 27, 2024 in Davenport, Florida. She was born on December 4, 1944 in Caribou the daughter of the late Leo and Corinna (Dubay) Thibodeau. She lived in Caribou, Maine and in Davenport, Florida, where she and Larry spent the last 24 winters. She was a lifelong member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Marie Ann graduated from the Marie Joseph Academy in 1963 and then married Larry Cyr in 1965. She worked as a bookkeeper for the many businesses they owned, the last one being Larry’s Construction which they retired from. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her role as a grandmother and loved being a great-grandmother even more. Marie was an avid crafter and quilter – many were the recipients of her handy work. Marie belongs to the Red Hat Society and the Quilter’s club of Davenport, Florida, where she and Larry have made many friends, acquaintances and memories.

Surviving in addition to her husband Larry, are her children, Sonya Richardson and husband Bruce, Lon Cyr and wife De’Angela, Jana Davenport and husband Fred all of Caribou, one brother, Albert Thibodeau of Florida, two sisters, Joyce Thomas and husband Phil of Gray, and Ann Marie Thibodeau of Bucksport. She is also survived by her grandchildren, the joys of her life, Tyler Cyr, Logan Cyr, Derek Richardson, Lacy Wallace, Freem Cyr, and Arieann Davenport, her two special great-granddaughters, Jaeda Cyr and Eleanor Wallace, and many nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Elora Cyr. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, May 10, 2024 from 9AM until 10:45AM at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM at the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Old Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery. Following the services all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments in the church hall. .
