Mable R. Tarr

Caribou and Perham-Mable R. Tarr, 94, wife of the late Edmund Tarr died April 21, 2001 at Mars Hill after a short illness. She was born at Caswell March 2, 1917 the daughter of the late Hans and Anna (Laursen) Rasmussen. Mrs. Tarr was a member of the Dunntown Advent Christian Church in Wade and was employed by the Birds Eye Division of General Foods in Caribou for over 25 years. Mable is survived by her nephew and wife Dwight and Elizabeth Stickles, of Caribou who were her caregivers for over fifteen years and she will also be greatly missed by their dog Koko I, whom she dearly loved. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou 1:00 pm Saturday April 23, 2011 until time of services. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Mary Lou Brown, officiating. Mable had a great love for animals and while living in Perham, there were always dogs, cats, hens, ducks and other animals around her home and yard, with most having names and being treated as pets.
