CARIBOU – Marlene M. Keaton, 78, passed away July 16, 2020 at the Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle. She was born in Connor, March 11, 1942 the daughter of the late Oneal and Irene (Fournier) Plourde. Marlene attended the Connor and Caribou schools and married Hubert Keaton, on November 5, 1960. She was employed in the bakery department at Hannaford Supermarket in Caribou for over 20 years. Marlene was a lifelong member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where she was an active member and past-president of the Ladies of St. Anne. Surviving in addition to her husband of nearly 60 years, Hubert Keaton of Caribou, one son, Wayne Keaton of FL, a daughter, Amy Keaton Daniels and husband William of Presque Isle, brothers and sisters, Joanne Ouellette of CT, Nelson Plourde and wife Anne of MA, Alice Ouellette and husband Robert of Madawaska Lake, Patsy Levesque and Anne Morin and husband Paul all of Caribou, Francis Plourde of Jefferson, Tom Plourde and wife Debbie of Saco, Jimmy Plourde and wife Rosemary of Millinocket, Susan Plourde and Mike Foley of Brunswick, Norman Plourde of Madawaska, her beloved grandchildren, Heather Keaton, Malinda Keaton Gaudette, Alexis Keaton, Keanna Daniels, Liam Daniels, and Emily Keaton, four great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Keaton was predeceased by her daughter, Gail Keaton Barker, and a sister Helen Haines. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, from 6 to 8pm, Tuesday, July 21, 2020, please be mindful of others by practicing social distancing, wearing a face covering, and be aware that the number of people allowed in the funeral home at one time is limited. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will take place at a later date in the New Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.
