Lucianne M. Belanger, 78, died November 17, 2010 at Presque Isle. She was born at Caribou, September 1, 1932, the daughter of Salomon and Olive (Cyr) Belanger. She was a graduate of the Caribou high school and the Columbia University in New York with a teacher’s degree. Lucianne taught school in New York City for 23 years and with the Caribou school system for 17 years and at the University of Maine at Presque Isle for 15 years. She was a member of the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church and was a member of the Kappa Delta Pi and National Honor Society in Psychology. She is survived by a brother Albert Belanger of Colorado and a sister Sister Marie Pauline Belanger, OSU of Dedham, MA, 9 nieces and 10 nephews. Lucianne was predeceased by 5 brothers Hortense Cyr, Toby, Gilles, Roger and Luc-Cyr Belanger and 2 sisters Geraldine Belanger and Theresa Ruey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00am, Monday, November 22, 2010 from the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will take place in the Old Holy Rosary Cemetery. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Lucianne may do so to the Caribou Pet Rescue and Halfway Home. Envelopes may be obtained at the Church.
