CARIBOU – Luana Louise (Ketch) Reitmeyer, 86, passed away January 7, 2021 at her Caribou residence. She was born in Fort Fairfield, August 29, 1934, the daughter of Cecil Boyd Ketch and Lela Beatrice (Maskell) Ketch. She attended schools in Fort Fairfield, graduating in 1953. Mom was an independent soul who loved her morning ride to C & J's Service for her morning cup of coffee and conversation. “The best coffee in the county” she would tell me. She worked in many restaurants in the Caribou area for many years. She also spent many years working in the NCO club at Loring Air Force Base. She retired from there as the club's kitchen manager. She was not one to ease into retirement. She worked at Cindy's sub shop, cleaned houses in the Caribou area, and kept herself busy. She was a longtime member of the American Legion in Caribou, enjoying being involved with all of the various functions put on by the Legion. She enjoyed outings with her seniors group. She loved to dance, especially at the Saturday night Supper and a Dance at Camper's Paradise Campground in Westfield. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by an infant brother, her first husband, Robert B. Trosper, (the love of her life), an aunt, Anna Cota, a son, Randy L. Reitmeyer, a grandson, Robert H. Trosper, a brother-in-law, Louis A. Peers, and sister-in-law Glenda Ketch. She is survived by her son and wife, Cecil and Judy Trosper of Clermont, FL, a daughter and husband, Cherri and John Farber of Greensboro, NC, a sister, June Peers of Limestone, three brothers, Hardie Ketch of Fort Fairfield and his special friend Ann Caldwell of Caswell, Duwain Ketch and his wife Bonnie of Burke, VA, Hudson Ketch and his wife Jody of Anniston, AL. She is also survived by grandsons Wade Trosper and wife Breanne and their children Logan, Olivia and Kaleb of Caribou, Ryan Trosper and wife Whitney and their children Adelaide and William of Gorham, Jason Reitmeyer of Caribou, and Jamie Reitmeyer and wife Amy and their children Asa and Ari of New Sweden, many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Dave and Barb for their friendship and loving help, and to the wonderful caregivers at Northern Light Hospice. It has always been mom's wish to not have any service, memorial, or any fuss made about her passing and her wishes will be honored.
