Lorina Bouchard

May 6, 1926 — August 20, 2023

Caribou - Lorina M. Bouchard passed away on August 20, 2023 in Van Buren at the Borderview Rehabilitation and Living Center at the age of 97.

She was born on May 6, 1926, the second of six children born the late Victor and Rose (Longley) Bouchard of Caribou.

Lorina attended Caribou schools and worked many years for various potato processing plants, including Tater State, Potato Service, and Birdseye/General Foods. She was very proud of her 25 years pin from General Foods.

Lorina loved going to Bingo games, she attended as many as she could get to each week.
Lorina was predeceased by her three sisters and their husbands, Pat (Gilbert) Plourde, Mavis (Pete) Plourde and Joyce (Edward) Ouellette and her two brothers, Ralph (Muriel) Bouchard and Dale (Janet) Bouchard.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah (David) Cyr of Little Madawaska Lake, three grandchildren, David (Ericia) Cyr of Searsmont, Derek (Jaime) Cyr of New Gloucester and Danielle (Matthew) Griffeth of Caribou and six great grandchildren, Tricia and Ava Cyr of Searsmont/Belfast, Elijah and Aubrey Cyr of New Gloucester and Joslyn and Annalise Griffeth of Caribou.  Lorina is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM Friday, September 1, 2023 at the Parish of the Precious Blood, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, North Caribou. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Following the services, all are invited to a time of fellowship and refreshments at the parish hall.

The family would like to express its deepest gratitude to the Staff of Borderview Rehabilitation and Living Center for the wonderful and loving care they showed for Lorina over the many years that she was a resident there.
